Summary

In case you missed it, we recently updated Theia3D Axiom to include support for the newest generation of NVIDIA graphics cards - the GeForce RTX 50 Series. With this exciting update, these new graphics cards can be used to unlock even greater processing performance from Theia3D, allowing you to push the limits of your markerless motion capture workflow. After our initial announcement which included benchmarks for the new RTX 5080, we’re following up to provide even more exciting results - RTX 5090 benchmarks.

Theia3D just got faster. A lot faster.

We’ve expanded support to include the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU — and the results speak for themselves. The RTX 5090 brings dramatic improvements to Theia3D’s core processing pipeline, enabling faster batch analysis for high-volume biomechanics research programs.

RTX 5090 Benchmark Results

Compared to previous generation hardware, the RTX 5090 delivers:

  • Processing speeds approximately 3-4x faster than the RTX 4090 for standard Theia3D trial processing
  • Significant reductions in batch processing time for large research datasets
  • Near-real-time feedback for iterative data review workflows

What This Means for Research Programs

For biomechanics labs, sports science programs, and research teams collecting large volumes of motion data, the RTX 5090 eliminates processing bottlenecks that have historically constrained throughput. High-volume studies that previously required overnight batch processing can now complete in hours.

Combined with Theia3D Batch’s automated pipeline, the RTX 5090 enables research teams to scale data collection without scaling staff or processing infrastructure.
