Summary

Theia has appointed François Asseman as Senior Sales Director, EMEA. Bringing a PhD in Movement Sciences and more than a decade of international motion capture experience, François will help strengthen Theia’s relationships with customers and partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Theia is pleased to welcome François Asseman as Senior Sales Director, EMEA. Based in Paris, François will lead Theia’s commercial development across the region, working with customers, technology partners and distributors to expand access to Theia3D markerless motion capture.

François joins Theia after 11 years at OptiTrack, where he served as International Sales Director. Throughout his career, he has helped guide the design and deployment of motion capture laboratories across five continents, supporting research institutions, elite sports programs, robotics labs and engineering teams.

Combining Scientific and Commercial Experience

François holds a PhD in Movement Sciences, giving him a strong understanding of both the research questions customers are trying to answer and the technology required to support their work.

That combination of scientific and commercial experience has shaped his approach throughout his career. Whether working with a biomechanics laboratory establishing its first capture volume or helping an organization expand an existing motion capture facility, his focus is on understanding the application and building a system around the customer’s needs.

Expanding Theia’s Presence Across EMEA

In his new role, François will focus on strengthening Theia’s existing partner network while building closer, more direct relationships with customers throughout the region.

A key part of that work will be meeting with researchers, practitioners and technology teams in their own environments. These conversations will help Theia better understand how Theia3D is being used, gather product feedback and identify opportunities to support new applications.
